I discovered my love of working with people in my native Brazil, where I worked for over 10 years in organizational change in the management consulting field before being transferred to the U.S.

I have always been fascinated with the human component of my work and decided to deepen my learning by completing a Masters in Social Work. I found myself facilitating groups in the mental health field in Inpatient and Outpatient settings.  This was both extremely rewarding and also very frustrating. It led me to search for practices that could help people find their inner compass for healing in a more preventive and holistic way - a more sustainable process of understanding the causes and conditions for coming out of "dis-ease" and expanding inner capacity for self-inquiry, resilience and wisdom.

I have been an informal practitioner of meditation, but it was when I started to learn about the connection between Mindfulness/Meditation and the psychotherapy field that my own practice took off and also a clear and genuine desire to share that learning with others.

In the last 10 years, I have  been expanding my knowledge of mindfulness and meditation through various courses and certificate programs, deepening my own practice and experiencing great joy whenever I'm able to share these teachings and witness moments of clarity.

As a Mindfulness & Meditation teacher, I also  contribute with free guided meditations available on Insight Timer.

I live in Connecticut, USA. I love being in nature and with friends, delight in painting, but nothing makes my heart happier than having long Sunday lunches with my family.

Artwork

My love of painting has been growing in the last years. I feel deeply grateful for the time I spend painting and for having access to supplies that allow me to enjoy an activity that is in and of itself a source of endless playfulness and mindfulness opportunities.

Every now and then, some paintings will be available for sale and part of the proceeds will go to non-profits that help alleviate hunger, poor health and inequality.
